RUSHVILLE CLINIC

Carol Cox - bookkeeper

Carol is a 1967 graduate of Rushville High School.  After she graduated in May, she married the love of her life, Ron.  They are going on 43 years, so I guess this one was meant to be.  Ron and Carol live on their farm located about 5 miles southwest of Camden.  This is the Cox homestead, sot they plan to live there forever.  They have three children, Mark (wife Holly), Kathy Burns (husband Larry), and Matt (wife Heather).  They are also the very proud grandparents of five FANTASTIC grandchildren....Maddie, Aris, Dalton, Michael, and Cailyn.  Carol has been working at the Rushville Veterinary Clinic since 1999.  She began as a secretary/receptionist and has been the bookkeeper for the past nine years.  Ron and Carol also train and race Standardbred horses, and if you know Carol at all, you know better than to ask her how her horses are doing, because you will get an ear full!  Her horses are her passion and she loves then dearly.  The couple also have a fury little bundle of joy at home named Josie.  The love and joy Josie brings to the Cox household attests to Carol's satisfaction with her job at the veterinary clinic.  "What a better place to work when you have a soft spot in your heart for God's four-legged creatures!"

Heather Cristman - Veterinary Assistant

Heather moved to Illinois from the East Coast in 2007 with her husband Jason, 4 dogs and 2 cats (Zena is an American Pit Bull Terrier, Gracie is an American Blue Pit Bull Terrier, and Jessie and Gracie are their two Beagles).  Heather has been working with the Rushville Veterinary Clinic for a little over a year.  She is currently in college working towards a certification as a Veterinary Technician.  She also helps out at the Schuyler County Humane Society offering her services for dogs in need of a foster home.  Since she began fostering this year, she hasalready taken in 21 dogs, finding wonderful homes for all of them.  In the process, the number of dogs in her own home has increased by 3 (Roxy the deaf Boxer, Titan the American Pit Bull Terrier, and Reba the Red-nose Pit Bull Terrier)....needless to say she has a real soft spot for the "Bully Breeds"!

Sara Gobel - Veterinary Assistant

Sara has lived in central Illinois her entire life.  She graduated from Beardstown High School in 2002.  After high school she attended Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL were she received her Bachelor's of Science in Biology and Chemistry in 2006.  While in college, she was a member of Parker After Dark (biology club) and Beta Beta Beta (Biology National Honor Society).  It was while in college that she began to volunteer at the Rushville Veterinary Clinic.  In 2005, she became officially employed as a Veterinary Assistant and has been working with the clinic ever since.  She currently resides in Beardstown, IL with her son Adam who is her world.  They share their home with Roxy the Pug, Chunk the Weimaraner-mix, and Cotton the cat.  Sara enjoys helping the Schuyler County Humane Society in any way possible.  She is known around the clinic as the one who loves the 'Pushed-in-face-breeds," from Boston Terriers to Boxers, she loves them all!
